I also made sure to wait for the full game to be released before playing though. When I heard about below zero I bought the game and made a point to not watch any videos and spoil it for myself. Kinda one of those games where you wish you could play it for the first time again. Ok, so I watched the big name youtubers play the original subnautica and I really regretted it because I had no desire to play it for myself as I already knew the story inside and out. I get what Foxtrot56 is trying to say and in the first subnautica, we think they all die which is true, but then in the second subnautica, AL AN says he doesn’t know, so know the game is basically implying they might be alive or dead, and at the end you as the player are just left on a dead end where the game doesn’t answer the main topic that it brought up, I understand they want a subnautica 3 but this isn’t how cliffhangers are done, but hey could’ve at least shown something that tells the player whether or not the architects are dead or alive Cliffhangers give you a little peak at the future game that shocks you, in BZ ending, the only peak they give is the “architects world” and that’s it, that’s not a peak, it answers nothing, and doesn’t leave you on a cliffhanger but rather on a dead end. After making the main attraction the architects, you can’t just take the player to the end to see their fate and then just end on that note, that’s not how cliffhangers work. ![]() ![]() ![]() But It’s not even that we didn’t care about robins sister, it’s that the story was more focused on the architects. 60% of BZ was focused on AL AN and the fate of the architects, the last 40% was about robins sister which I don’t think any of us really gave a damn about. Nah I agree with you rocket, it’s frustrating.
